Fly Fishing Report, 6/24/09

Top my shrimp fly, and a nice fish last night from The Narrow River

The river fish well but we had to work at it. Some silversides all of the fish that I caught took my shrimp pattern. From 5:30to 7:30pm the we had an outgoming tide and then just after 7:30pm the tide changed to incoming. We took some nice fish from Sprague Bridge to just downstream, oh, about 500 to 600 yds downstream. Using intermediate fly lines, I like the Air-Flow 40+clear 40ft. wf section fly line, just a great line. I'm also using 20# tippet of Berkely Vanish Fluorocarbon.

Now that the sun has come back I will be fishing the Wood River;s Hex Hatch!
