Fly Fishing Report, 6/23/09

Fish are still taking worm patterns, mostly on the outgoing tide.

Hi everybody,we fished the Narrow River last night and the conditions where again just right, outgoing tide when we first started around 4:45,  sand eels enough to draw fish, and the river was clean, no weeds. We started above Sprague Bridge and worked our way down to the mouth. Six fish where landed all schoolies, none over 19”. In four and a half hours, not that many fish in the river. We used our usual fly patterns, shrimp, high-tie streamers in hot pink, pink and yellow, made from craft fur. Oh; the water temperature was a lot cooler, at least by 15 degrees or so.
