Don't get into this habit of leaving your rod on top of your car while taking care of other gear. A long time ago I in fact did this and it cost me and outfit, a very good outfit. The photo to the right is a much better way to address this issue. Also, I learned this method in Montana long ago, you'll be surprised just how secure the windshield wiper makes it also for driving short distances.  

The Wood River on this day did not fish well at all, no rising fish but all had a great day! With the rain we just had this past weekend all rivers are high and will not be ready until maybe next week.
